The pool from which to choose fun trivia topics are endless. Numerous books, boards games, websites, academic quiz bowls and even TV shows have been dedicated to the display of the knowledge of this supposedly useless information.

So why is fun trivia like movie trivia quiz so beloved around the world?

Well, just start a trivia game and fun is sure to be had by all! Trivia games can bring out the competitive streak in anyone. For example the football movie trivia. That’s why on any given night you could probably walk into a bar or restaurant in your town and find a lively trivia game going on. Some of these places even offer cash prizes for the winner. For those who would like to test their trivia knowledge on a national platform, there are a number of TV shows to accommodate that desire. Shows like “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?” and perhaps the most popular and treasured trivia show out there “Jeopardy” are all shows that trivia masters can go on and win big prizes. Are you someone that all your friends call on if they have a trivia question that needs to be answered? If so, you can gain experience in local trivia competitions in your area and then move on compete on a televised trivia show to show off your skills.

If you prefer to stay in, you can host a trivia night for your friends and family. You can purchase a trivia board game or create a trivia game full of fun facts on your own. The great thing about trivia is that you will never run out of fun trivia topics. There are many websites out there completely dedicated to trivia and the possibilities for creating a fantastic night of trivia fueled fun are endless. Kids can even get in on the action and learn something in the process. For example, purchase a pack of simple index cards and write trivia questions on one side of the card and the answers on the other side. Put the cards into a hat. Each player pulls a card and if that player answers the question correctly they receive a designated amount of points. If that player answers the question incorrectly, they are forced to perform a silly task and hilarity ensues! Play until you run out of questions or until a player has achieved the desired amount of points to win the game. A variation to this format is to play in teams.
